A little less than forty years ago, when I was just a young lad, I came across something that was completely new to me, science fiction. It came in the form of a television repeat called Star Trek. I had never seen anything like it before. The idea of traveling through space, warring with alien life forms and so much more was opened to me. My love for sci-fi came out of a 13 inch black and white television screen.
One of the characters on the show was a pointed ear alien named Mr. Spock. I always admired the character and the man who played him. This morning we lost this great actor, artist and poet.
Leonard Nimoy passed away this morning due to complications with COPD. Just days ago he posted on his Twitter feed these words.
“”A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP”
Good bye Mr. Nimoy. You lived long and you prospered.
