Stray thoughts

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I had family up for spring break last week and I chose to spend time loving on them. Today, I am spending some time cleaning up my flower beds. Actually, my sister JoAnn is doing it, I’m the assistant.

I’ve been debating which character I want to interview next. I was thinking of doing Deantha, the middle sister from Head of Steel, but decided against that for right now, because I just did Emperor Least.

I think instead I will do Andrews from The Forgotten Edge. His character, the way he acts, came out of nowhere as I was writing him. He’s young, brilliant, self assured, yet still vulnerable. Digging into his brain a little more will help me flesh out his character a little more. I have a short that I’ve been working on with him, telling his back story. I think doing the interview will help me finish it and fill in some blanks for The Remembered Past, the second book in The Edge series.

BTW, if I don’t get The Remembered Past done soon, my sister JoAnn may just kill me.

I’m also waiting for a few people to get their Guest Post to me so I can get them posted up.

It’s a beautiful spring day. Why are you reading this and not outside enjying the weather. Go on now.

Hi, My name is Jamie Dodge. I am a full time writer and a full time caregiver. I generally write science fiction, but will dabble in almost anything, I can't write romance to save my life. I was born and raised in Central Florida into a large Italian family. The youngest by four years I had the advantage of being taught to read by the time I was 3. I don't think a day had gone by since then, where I haven't had a book in my hands at some point. One day I figured I would try my hand at it, so I wrote my first novel, The Forgotten Edge. I always get asked why I use the profile picture I do. I wish I could tell you, but I can't. It is a promise I made a few years ago, and I will honor it until I am given permission not to. That's it. That's me. I hope you enjoy my ramblings about my writing process and the other things that I find interesting.
